Eric Zotcavage is an assignment editor and content producer with AZ Family-3TV & CBS 5 News.

Since starting work at CBS 5/3TV in 2007, he’s been a proud member of the news team that keeps Arizonans up-to-date, every day, with information that keeps them informed in a busy world. When he’s not dispatching news crews to an incident or talking to officials, he’s busy writing stories that populate the AZ Family web site.

Creator of the franchise series, “What’s in a name”, Eric enjoys writing about Arizona’s historical towns and attractions.

Prior to that he was a traffic reporter with Metro Network here in Phoenix where he provided on-air traffic updates for multiple radio and television stations. He also worked in the printing world, spending time in the pre-press graphics department of the National Geographic Society in Washington D.C. as well as earning a living as a photographer.

An ASU graduate, Eric has called Arizona home since his family was stationed at Ft. Huachuca in the 1970s. He traveled the world as an Army brat. Like his father, he served in the Army with assignments in Germany, England and Fort G. Meade, Maryland. Eric is a member of the American Legion, Scottsdale Post #44.
