Viral video shows Crumbl Cookies employees doing their hair inside store

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV/Gray News) — A video circulating on social media appears to show Crumbl Cookies employees doing each other’s hair inside a North Carolina store.

In the video, one person is seen getting her hair done inside a Crumbl store in Charlotte’s Midtown neighborhood. The person doing the hair appeared to be a Crumbl employee, and at least two other employees could be seen inside the store.

Crumbl Cookies issued a statement on Tuesday, saying the behavior was “inappropriate” and “unacceptable.”

“The conduct shown is unacceptable and does not reflect Crumbl’s standards,” the statement read. “Upon learning of the incident, we immediately closed the store, discarded all dough on site, brought in a professional cleaning crew, and took appropriate action with the employees involved.”

Crumbl did not explicitly say what actions were taken with the employees.

WBTV also reached out to the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services about the video. The department is responsible for inspecting the store.

An official said Wednesday that the department had not yet received any complaints about the video and had been made aware of the situation on Tuesday. The department plans to follow up with an “unannounced inspection at the firm,” the official said.
