Police investigate shooting at pool party in Tempe

TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Multiple people have been reported injured, with others detained, at a pool party overnight in Tempe.

Tempe Police said there was a shooting during a pool party at a apartment complex near Broadway and Rural roads. Multiple suspects and victims fled the scene before officers arrived.

Police said one victim came to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting. Officers also found and detained “multiple people involved,” Tempe PD said.

This remains an ongoing investigation, and there is still an active police scene in the area. Arizona’s Family is working to learn more.

This is one of four shootings reported at parties across the Valley over the weekend.
