PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Arizona Cardinals fans will hear a new voice over the airwaves this year as a new announcer makes his debut.

The Cardinals announced on Tuesday that J.P. Shadrick will serve as the team’s new radio play-by-play announcer. Shadrick brings more than two decades of play-by-play experience across NFL, college football, PGA Tour golf and minor league baseball.

Nationally, he’s called NFL games on Westwood One Sports, including London games, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and key late-season matchups. He’s been the voice of college football for Touchdown Radio Network since 2017.

Prior to moving to the Valley of the Sun, Shadrick called Jacksonville, Florida, home and spent 14 seasons as a senior reporter with the Jaguars. He hosted the Jaguars’ head coaches’ weekly radio shows and served as a game-day radio host.

Shadrick has big shoes to fill after longtime Cardinals announcer Dave Pasch stepped away in June after 24 years. Pasch signed an exclusive contract with ESPN in the offseason.

Shadrick will work alongside former Cardinals center and radio analyst A.Q. Shipley. He will make his radio debut on August 13, when the Redbirds travel to Las Vegas to battle the Raiders. Fans can listen to all Cardinals games on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
