GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — After a man went missing for more than a day, authorities in the East Valley said he’s been found.

Just before 3 p.m., Gilbert police said Larry Hochstetler, 72, was located and later in the evening, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said he was spotted on a hiking trail in Superior. He was flown to a nearby hospital to get checked out.

A SAFE Alert was issued Friday morning for Hochstetler after he was last seen at 8 p.m. on Wednesday near Val Vista Drive and Guadalupe Road in Gilbert.
