Chandler Ostrich Festival to relocate for first time in two decades
CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — The Chandler Ostrich Festival isn’t sticking its head in the sand.
After more than 20 years at Tumbleweed Park, the event is spreading its flightless wings and relocating to Rawhide Western Town and Event Center.
The 36th annual festival is moving due to recent amenity changes at Tumbleweed Park and steadily growing attendance. Organizers say the event is expected to continue at its new location for the foreseeable future.
Set to take place on the weekends of March 13–15 and March 20–22, the new venue will bring a refreshed layout and updated amenities, including indoor vendor space, permanent restrooms, and running water. It will also bring more space for other outdoor attractions and rides.
“The Ostrich Festival has become such a beloved and expansive event that it’s ready for a new home,” Terri Kimble, president of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, said in a written statement. “Rawhide provides the space and infrastructure to take the festival experience to the next level for our community.”
The festival began in 1988 to celebrate Chandler’s early ostrich ranching heritage in downtown and relocated to Tumbleweed Park in 2003.
The 2026 artist lineup has not yet been announced. The event previously featured headlines including The Fray, The Beach Boys, Walker Hayes, Nelly, and Tyler Hubbard.
