1-year-old in extremely critical condition after being pulled from north Phoenix hot tub

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A one-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being pulled from a hot tub in north Phoenix on Sunday morning.

Phoenix firefighters were called to a home near 19th Avenue and Greenway Parkway around 11:30 a.m. after a one-year-old boy was found unconscious and not breathing in a hot tub.

Phoenix Fire says a bystander was giving the child CPR when crews arrived.

It is not known how long the child was underwater. He was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition.

The Phoenix Police Department will be investigating.
