A mother is mourning the loss of her daughter, who was shot and killed allegedly by her boyfriend while they were traveling in Payson on Saturday morning. Serena Honanie said Keonna Honanie had just celebrated her 20th birthday a couple of weeks ago and described her as a “very special daughter, sister, niece and friend.” Keonna was shot in the head during a fight inside an SUV with her boyfriend and later died at the hospital. Two men killed each other during a fight involving a knife and a gun near downtown Phoenix on Saturday morning. It happened near 24th Street and Roosevelt Street around 7:45 a.m. It's unclear what they were fighting about but they did at the hospital.
A Chandler police officer received minor injuries during a fight with a suspect in Tempe on Saturday night. Investigators said the officer confronted a motorcycle rider at a stoplight and the two got into a scuffle. The motorcyclist is facing multiple charges.
