PHOENIX (AZFamily) — We’re back in the kitchen this week during Good Morning Arizona!

This time, GMAZ on-air talent are sharing our favorite Thanksgiving side dish recipes each day to get you inspired for your feast.

Today’s recipe for bacon balsamic brussels sprouts comes from First Alert Meteorologist Ian Schwartz.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 8 ounces thick-cut bacon
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Toss brussels sprouts with olive oil in a bowl. Spread on a large baking sheet in a single layer (don’t crowd them). Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and cooked.
  4. While sprouts roast, cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Crumble it once cooled. Reserve 1 teaspoon of bacon grease.
  5. Whisk together the bacon grease and balsamic vinegar.
  6. Toss the roasted brussels sprouts with the balsamic mixture and crumbled bacon.
  7. Serve immediately.
