It's going to be a pretty perfect day in the Valley of the Sun as high pressure building in from the west pushes afternoon temps to the mid 70s with mostly sunny skies.
By Monday, thick high clouds will stream into the state. Despite the cloudy skies, no rain is expected, but temps will drop about five degrees in comparison with Sunday afternoon.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, two disturbances will produce light rain and snow across parts of the high country, but the Valley should stay generally dry with a bit more sunshine than Monday. There's only a slight chance for a shower.
Temperatures will also drop a few more degrees Tuesday and Wednesday.
By the end of the week, high pressure builds across the region again and, highs rise back up to the low 70s through the weekend.
For Phoenix today, look for mostly sunny skies with a high of 76 and a low tonight of 53.
Cloudy skies expected Monday with a high of 71 and a low of 54.
Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high of 70 and a low of 50.
