If you've lived in Phoenix for a while you know the monsoon usually kicks in around the first week of July.
So far we've seen meager rain this monsoon, but of course, there is still sometime before we hit that July sweet spot.
I think one of the reasons I (and other weather fans) am so impatient for rain is because of how dry this year has been.
We haven't seen any significant rainfall in Phoenix since March 11. April had no rain. Not a drop.

So in an effort to remember the kinda rain fall we can see here during the summer, I pull out some stats for the wettest monsoons on record in Phoenix.

Some of those totals are very impressive! The average rainfall we during the monsoon June through September is 2.71”.
We look dry for at least the next five days, but it's nice to know we can still crank out some good rain during the monsoon, and hopefully, we'll do it again soon.
