Saturday morning forecast

For the Valley, the best chance of thunderstorms seems to be late Friday night into early Saturday morning.

A humid airmass with monsoon circulation will remain in place over the weekend to fire up thunderstorms in higher elevation areas and across southern deserts.

Temperatures will be in the 80s as you step out the door in the southern deserts, with a high of around 102 later this afternoon in Phoenix.

The atmosphere will continue to be moist and relatively unstable, so there’s no date we can zero out the chance for thunderstorms.

It will be right around 100 degrees, give or take a degree or two, right through the weekend.
