Hit and run crash involving pedestrian near 30th Street and Indian School Road

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- A woman is fighting for her life after getting hit by a car near 30th Street and Indian School just after midnight Tuesday. 

Phoenix police detectives say that a car was heading east on Indian School Road when it failed to yield to the woman in the crosswalk and hit them. The driver left the scene before police arrived. The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation is ongoing and the suspect is outstanding. Police were not able to provide a description of the vehicle.
