U.S. 60 Gold Canyon wreck

Arizona Department of Transportation officials said the crash occurred on the U.S. 60 near Superstition Mountain Drive. 

GOLD CANYON, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- The U.S. 60 eastbound near Gold Canyon has reopened after a serious two-vehicle crash Monday night. 

Arizona Department of Transportation officials said the crash occurred on the U.S. 60 near Superstition Mountain Drive. Officials say three people were reported unconscious and airlifted to the hospital, but the severity of their injuries is unknown. 

It is unknown how the crash occurred but on Tuesday morning, DPS says impairment may have been a factor but had no further updates.
