PHOENIX (3TV/CBS5) - A two-car crash in Phoenix has left four people with serious injuries on Thursday.

It happened after 7 p.m. at 35th Avenue and Camelback Road.

Two of the four hurt are children, and firefighters say they are roughly 8 years old. They were taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital. The other two are women and were hospitalized as well.

The intersection is closed. Drivers should use 27th Avenue and Indian School Road as alternates until the roadway is reopened. An investigation is underway.
