SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- A pedestrian died after falling into the roadway in Scottsdale and was hit by a passing vehicle Saturday night. He has been identified as 56-year-old Michael S Long.
According to Scottsdale police, officers were called to the area of 78th Street and Camelback Road for reports that a pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle. Police say Long fell into the road and got hit. The driver of the vehicle stopped and stayed at the scene.
Camelback Road was temporarily closed from 78th Street to Hayden Road while officers investigated. The roadway reopened around 8 a.m. on Sunday.
