MARICOPA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- A man was stuck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in the town of Maricopa early Thursday morning.
According to Ricardo Alvarado with Maricopa police, a 20-year-old man was in a car with his father when the two started arguing. The man then jumped out of the car near S.R. 347 and Smith Enke Road and was struck by another car.

Police say the car that struck him took off. The car is described as a dark-colored sedan with driver's side damage.
The victim, later identified as Briar Hoover, was taken to Chandler Regional Hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead.
Maricopa police said Smith Enke Road is closed at Santa Cruz Drive while they investigate.
