SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- ADOT officials say the eastbound lanes of the Loop 101 have reopened in Scottsdale after a deadly crash Sunday evening. The multi-vehicle collision happened around 6 p.m. Several of the cars involved caught on fire.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say is appears a motorcycle rider was off to the left and a vehicle, or vehicles, were blocking the HOV lane when another vehicle collided with them. The impact caused several of the cars to burst into flames.
No further information has been released but the area reopened just after midnight Monday morning.
