2 in critical condition, 2 others hurt after serious crash in west Phoenix

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Two people are in critical condition after four people were injured in a serious crash in west Phoenix early Saturday morning.

According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Williams says officers responded to a crash near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road. When police arrived, they found two cars involved in the crash. Investigators say one car had turned left at the intersection and crashed into another vehicle that was going in the opposite direction.

Four people were taken to the hospital, including two in critical condition. Police haven't said if speed or impairment were possible factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
