TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - People at a Tempe apartment complex have been without hot water for more than a month with no end in sight.
The problem is happening at the Tides on the Mill apartments.
Tenants have been without hot water for at least five weeks and insist they keep getting the runaround.
The apartment's owner told Arizona’s Family he inherited the problem, saying he only gained control of the complex in August.
He insisted the plumbing problems started far before his control and now he is playing catch up.
“All we can do is process, elimination, trying to fix the repairs as we go. There could be multiple problems. We don't know yet," said Jarrod Robison.
Going forward, Robinson may have to re-pipe the whole complex.
As a result, there is not an estimate when the hot water will be back, proving to be a challenge for residents.
“They keep saying they're going to fix it, and the next week they push back the dates," said Chancellor Stokes, a resident at Tides on the Mill.
Robinson is now letting tenants out of their leases, while also refunding their security deposits.
