PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Devin Booker spent his off day giving back. The Phoenix Suns star pledged $2.5 million dollars towards Suns' charities and recently partnered with 5 local non-profits to form his "Starting 5." 

Booker hosted kids from U-Mom on Tuesday night at Finish Line in Arrowhead Mall, taking the kids on a shopping spree of a lifetime.

"The holiday season has always been one of my favorites. Just the giving back," said Booker. "Every time I do this, it's in the spirit."

Booker treated each child to a $1,000 shopping spree. Kids receiving a $750 voucher from Finish Line, $250 Fry's Food Store gift cards, an Xbox One, and a Suns swag bag with apparel.

"It's been an unbelievable five years since I've been here. Phoenix took me in like family. Giving back to the community that's supported us through thick and thin," said Booker.

The Suns return to the court Thursday when they host Memphis.
