PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - A Phoenix law firm is helping Rally the Valley, all the way to Milwaukee. Warner Angle Hallam Jackson & Formanek, PLC bought a digital billboard in downtown Milwaukee that says "Go Suns!" in purple with a classic Arizona sunset and cacti. On the lower right, it says the firm's name. A local station in Milwaukee first took the photo on Monday morning and it's received a lot of attention on social media, with both Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks fan bases weighing in. "What a waste of money," tweeted one Bucks fan. "This is next level awesome," tweeted someone else.
The Suns continued to struggle with turnovers in the fourth quarter but fought hard to stay in the game.
"The goal was to support our team. We've never won one," said Jim Valletta, an attorney at the firm.
When asked how much the advertisement cost, the specific number was elusive. "I think the best way to say it is, it's cheaper than going to the game," said attorney Phillip Visnansky.
The response from local Bucks fans has been mixed. "Some have been real positive, 'good job guys.' Others have been critical. 'Not in our town.' It's been fun," said Visnansky.
"I hope the team bus goes right by it on the freeway on the way to the game and they know that we are there behind them," said Dean Formanek, an attorney with the law firm.
After leading the NBA Finals 2-0, the Phoenix Suns have lost three straight to the Bucks, including a heartbreaking 123-119 loss in Phoenix on Saturday. The Bucks can win their first title in more than 50 years with Game 6 on Tuesday in Milwaukee.
