PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - A crucial part of the Phoenix Suns' bench is coming back to the Valley of the Sun. Multiple reports say guard Cameron Payne has agreed to resign with the team on a three-year $19 million contract. Yahoo! Sport's Chris Haynes first reported it.

Payne was the primary backup to star guard Chris Paul. He averaged 9.3 points and 3.2 assists in the NBA Playoffs. When free agency started, Payne tweeted out, "Well HELLO FA!" and there was talk that the New York Knicks were looking at him but Payne decided to come back to Phoenix. On Monday, he tweeted, "Man what y’all thought! #Valleyboy".
