While at WNEM, Cameron covered the Flint water crisis and the people affected by a government decision that caused lead to poison the city’s water supply.

Cameron traveled all over Michigan asking state government workers for answers about their role in the Flint water crisis after they were criminally charged by the state attorney general, who said they failed to stop the poisoning of Flint residents.

Before joining WNEM, Cameron was an on-air personality at Radio One in Indianapolis. Cameron was heard on three different radio stations, including WHHH-FM HOT 96.3 where he hosted his own talk show Indy Speaks with Cameron Ridle.

He also was heard up the dial on 106.7 WTLC-FM as the local news anchor on The Tom Joyner Morning Show. Cameron credits his success in radio to the late and legendary Indiana Hall of Fame Broadcaster Amos Brown, who called Cameron his "prodigy," which led to Cameron substituting for Brown on his highly-rated talk show Afternoons with Amos on WTLC AM 1310 The Light.

Cameron is a graduate of Ball State University where he earned dual bachelor’s degrees in telecommunications and journalism. While at Ball State Cameron was named "Student Journalist of the Year" by the Indiana chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. He was recognized for his work both at Ball State and Radio One Indianapolis.

At Ball State, Cameron was an anchor/reporter for NewsLink Indiana, a reporter on Indiana Public Radio and the news director of Muncie, IN, radio station WCRD 91.3. As news director, Cameron lead the news division to multiple state, regional and national journalism awards.
