PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - Democratic Senator-elect Kyrsten Sinema said Wednesday that Saudi Arabia should be held accountable for its alleged role in the brutal killing of a journalist.

Sinema's comments come after President Donald Trump seemed to dismiss a CIA assessment that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the execution of Jamal Khashoggi.

"I think Congress has a real role to play here and I would encourage the Senate and the House to make sure we are holding Saudi Arabia accountable," Sinema said.
