Owner and Chef Sasha Raj from 24 Carrots Natural Cafe shares an easy recipe for some peanut butter caramel.
• 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
• 1/2 can pumpkin puree
• 1-cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon of salt
• 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger, or ginger powder
• 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, or vegan butter
• Juice of one orange
Heat sugar, pumpkin and peanut butter and juice of orange, stir well till combined and warm through.
Add in ginger, cinnamon, salt, and coconut oil- stir to combine and allow to cool.
Perfect with sliced apples and celery sticks!
