PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- The excess fruit from your citrus trees can provide important nutrition for Arizona's families in need.

St. Mary's Food Bank is accepting donations of grapefruits, oranges and lemons until the beginning of March.

The food bank doesn't have the resources to pick neighborhood trees so they're asking for help from the community.

If you would like to donate your excess fruit you can drop it off at their Phoenix or Surprise locations Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

Phoenix2831 N. 31st Avenue

Surprise13050 W. Elm Street
