3 cups leftover pumpkin pie, scooped from the pie shell
3 cups cooked oats, steel cut preferably, hot
3 Tbsp. sugar
Hot milk to consistency
Small kitchen torch
With the oatmeal in a small saucepan, add the pie filling and mix well.
Scoop the pumpkin oatmeal into a small cereal bowl or soup cup and flatten with the mini offset spatula.
Top the oatmeal with sugar and torch until liquid and caramelized. After the sugar cools a bit, it should form a candy shell.
Try adding toasted pecans or diced apple.
