PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Do you have the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook in your house? Most households have the cookbook or know someone who cooks with it. The red plaid book has been used in kitchens since 1930.

Arizona's Family and Better Homes and Gardens are part of the Meredith Corporation.

The Good Morning Arizona team decided to take out the cookbook and bake some chocolate cake.

Beat on medium to high 20 seconds more.  Spread batter into prepared pan(s).
  3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes for 9-inch pans, 35-40 minutes for 8-inch pans, about 40 minutes for 13x9 inch pan or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool cake layers in pans 10 minutes. Scott's chocolate cake recipe:

I used the chocolate cake recipe from Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book to make the two cakes. I then made chocolate pudding, poured it into the same cake.

I used a baking pan so it was the same size, then put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. Turn the pudding pan upside down on top of the first cake then place the second one on top.

I also used icing out of a can to cover the cake then used Fondant to cover the cake and then you can decorate as you wish!  Happy baking!
