SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS5) -- Lior the Baker is winning many accolades in the Valley. When you walk in the bakery, you're met with a sweet smell and beautiful sight of scratch-made baked goods.

Lior learned how to bake from his great grandmother in Israel. He met his wife Lily in San Francisco. They say their love is one that was meant to be as they lived in many of the same cities at the same time before they ever met. They were both baking for a Jewish community synagogue in San Francisco when they met.

Now they have 3 young children, with the youngest being just 6 months old. Lily runs the front of the house and handles the nationwide shipping orders. Lior is baking-- from 2 a.m. until the day is done. They opened their storefront in 2016 after three years in Arizona, selling their Jerusalem-style baked goods at farmers markets.

Everything they bake is handcrafted and rolled. “We put our heart in each one of the baked goods; you can feel the love when you eat it,” said Lior.

You can find pies, Moroccan bread baked on river stones, bourekas (savory pastries), challah and so much more. You will be absolutely delighted when you visit. Not only is the product amazing-- but Lily and Lior are too-- making it one of Jaime's Local Loves.
