PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Athleteist is an urban, athletic apparel company founded by Sara Racey-Batraville. She recently relocated her brand from New York to Arizona, after shifting her career focus from modeling to building her own brand.
Batraville made her national debut on America's Next Top Model, in 2004. She's been working as a model and commercial actress ever since.
"I gave it about two years and my career took off. I signed with Ford Models, Elite Models. I had done everything from L'oreal, to Revlon, Cover Girl, it was amazing. "
The former volleyball player is married to a personal trainer, so fitness is a lifestyle for them both. In 2017 she turned her focus on the launch of her own apparel line: designing, sketching, sourcing the fabric. The style of the Athleteist line is "not going to be like the rest. You don't have to like it. This is who I am. It is leopard, rock and roll, triangles, bright colors, shiny metallic. You stand out, you're humbly cocky," she says happily.
You can order Athleteist online, at athleteist.com - or live the brand by training at the Scottsdale gym.
