Bad Boys with Big Hearts benefiting a good cause with Rocktoberfest

Bad Boys with Big Hearts are using their craftsmanship and love for music for a good cause.

Perry Fretz is the owner of Bad Boy Guitars and makes custom guitars. Fretz eventually had the vision with other musicians to start the nonprofit Bad Boys with Big Hearts.

Fretz, along with Terry Babicz, Mike Derhamer, Art Long and Pyramix Studios took the nonprofit to the next level with “Rocktoberfest.”

The festival in Chandler includes over 30 musicians that are donating their time to raise money for The Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

“They are all doing this for nothing,” Fretz said.

Fretz has given guitars away for those in need. One unique guitar that is on its way to PCH was dreamed up by the children at the hospital themselves. He created the white base and the hand prints of the kids marked up the instrument.

The festival benefitting PCH will be at the Rawhide in Chandler on Oct. 13 from noon to midnight. All profits will go to PCH.
