PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Police are investigating after a 13-year-old boy was was hurt in a drive-by shooting at a park Monday night.
According to Phoenix police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune, officers responded to Manzanita Park near 31st Avenue and Roeser Road at about 10:15 p.m. for a shooting. When police arrived, they were told that the victim, a 13-year-old boy, was taken to a local hospital by family.
Witnesses told officers that the victim was walking when he was shot by suspects who were driving in a vehicle.
Officers spoke with the boy at the hospital, but there are no known suspect or vehicle descriptions.
