SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS5) -- A long day of golf-watching can make for a hearty appetite! Folks attending the Waste Management Phoenix Open will likely be scouring Scottsdale, looking for some great grub before, during and after the greatest show on grass.

We found some of the tastiest breakfast, lunch and dinner spots around the Scottsdale area where fans can chow down in style.

6 Great Breakfast Spots

1. The Breakfast Joynt  (6 min. from the TPC)

"Happiness is...ALL DAY BREAKFAST" reads the slogan at the Breakfast Joynt in north Scottsdale. Diners can build their own omelets, enjoy basics like waffle platters and country-fried steak, or spice things up with a "South of the Border" platter or a Chorizo Chimi. Another specialty? "Bennys!" (Eggs Benedict)Try the Country Benny, the Crabby Benny or the Benny Florentine. The diner-style restaurant also serves up hearty salads and sandwiches for lunch. 2. OEB (7 min. from TPC)

OEB, a popular Canadian breakfast restaurant, just opened its first U.S. location in November in Scottsdale. So what does OEB stand for? You might first think Over Easy Breakfast, but the company's website says that OEB truly stands for "Outstanding" people, "Embracing evolution," and "Bold" food integrity. From the fan favorite Eggs Benedict to hearty poutines, the menu is filled with many different takes on classic recipes. Check out the French toast stuffed with New York-style cheesecake, or the Canadian Lobster and Shrimp crepe. 3. Breakfast Kitchen Bar (11 min. from TPC to Desert Ridge, 6 min to Scottsdale Quarter)

Desert Ridge Marketplace has just opened a brand new Breakfast Kitchen Bar. (There's also a location at Scottsdale Quarter.) It's a cozy, laid-back spot featuring dishes like almond Croissant French Toast, smoked salmon eggs Benedict, Shrimp Scampi Omelets and Churro Waffles. Diners will also find Keto-friendly breakfast pizzas, as well as options like salads and sandwiches. It's open for breakfast and lunch. For the Scottsdale Quarter location, call 480-361-6698. 4. Snooze, an A.M. Eatery (7 min. from TPC) 

Keirland Commons on Scottsdale Road and Greenway is a great place to grab a bite and do some shopping, too. Snooze, an A.M. Eatery serves up creative twists on America’s favorite breakfast classics in a casual, friendly and vibrant atmosphere. Try their famous Brekfast Sammies, or sample a breakfast pot pie, shrimp and grits, pineapple upside-down pancakes and their BRAVOcado toast.  For info call (480) 664-3133. 5. Daily Jam (10 min. from TPC)

Located not far from the TPC, Daily Jam is a casual spot for breakfast, lunch, brunch, and breakfast cocktails daily. The restaurant offers fresh-from-scratch pastries and Build-Your-Own breakfast sandwiches. The breakfast potatoes are to die for, and the red velvet waffles are unforgettable. 6. Hash Kitchen (7 min from the TPC)

Yelp’s top-rated Scottsdale brunch spot, and home of the state’s largest Bloody Mary Bar, Hash Kitchen welcomes all guests from the Open. The restaurant will be serving up all of its classic favorites, in addition to new menu items like the Giant Nutella & Banana Croissant, Skillet Cinnamon Roll and Giant Lamb Beni Croissant. 6 Great Lunch Spots

1. Grassroots Kitchen & Tap (14 min. from the TPC)

Craving something hearty but healthy? Grassroots Kitchen & Tap may be your place. It's an American cafe with Southern flavors and a focus on fresh, local ingredients. The salmon is one of the most popular menu items, and the salads are fresh and filling. There's also an extensive list of craft beers and wines. The rustic, yet modern atmosphere is highlighted by colorful Americana artwork and expansive dining patios.The daily "Social Hour" runs from 3-6 pm.The family-owned and operated restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily. 2. DeFalco's Italian Deli and Grocery (30 min. from the TPC)

To grab a bite at DeFalco's Italian Deli and Grocery, you'll have to venture a little further into south Scottsdale. But it's worth the drive. Grab a sandwich from the full service deli or shop a wide selection of Italian products. Meats and cheeses are sliced to your request. And don't miss the fresh Italian bread and home-made Italian sausage. A favorite menu items is the Italian beef. you can also get loaded subs, pasta, calzones, soups and sides. DeFalcos is located at 2334 N. Scottsdale Road, just south of Thomas Road.

3. Meat the Ball (8 min. drive from the TPC)

The folks behind the hugely popular Pomo restaurants have just launched a new Meat the Ball in north Scottsdale, just minutes from the TPC. is even offering some golf-inspired dishes! Don't miss the Golf(Baller) Plate (Grass-fed beef braised overnight, gravy, creamy polenta, roasted baby carrots) Tee-Rific Mozza Balls (Mozzarella Balls with marinara sauce) and the Hole-In-One Cocktail:(Frozen juice ball, aperol, Cava Brut, fresh lemon and seltzer. 4. ZinBurger (6 min. from the TPC)

Craving a good burger? ZinBurger at Scottsdale Quarter is close by and serves up a delicious patty. Elevate your all-American burger experience with a Kobe beef hamburger and a side of truffle fries, or try a house-made veggie burger with hand-cut zucchini fries. Pair your burger with a smooth, creamy milkshake. There are a number of Valley locations, but the Open crowd is closest to the spot at 15257 N. Scottsdale Road, near Scottsdale Road and Greenway. 5. Carlos O'Brien's Mexican Restaurant and Pub (9 min. from the TPC)

It's hard not to fill up on the tasty chips and salsa at nearby Carlos O'Brien's Mexican restaurant. Here, diners will find “Arizona-style Mexican food,” including mainstays like fajitas and tacos, as well as several one-of-a-kind recipes perfected over the past 40 years. Not forgetting the Irish heritage of the founder, the bar menu includes many of great Irish beers and whiskeys. The restaurant's Scottsdale location is at 7000 E. Mayo Boulevard. Get a taste of the tropics at Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar at Kierland Commons, located at Scottsdale Road and Greenway Parkway. Sit inside the island-themed restaurant of enjoy a fruity drink on the patio. Try the Bungalow Salad, the Cilantro and ginger-crusted Mahi Mahi or the Macadamia nut-crusted snapper. 1. Isabella's Kitchen (8 min. from the TPC)

If you're looking for great patio dining, Isabella's Kitchen at the Grayhawk Golf Club is for you. Overlooking the McDowell Mountains and Grayhawk’s Talon Course, Isabella’s Kitchen is styled after a hip country roadhouse. The outdoor seating area wraps around the building, and the dining room is outfitted with garage-style doors that roll up to bring the outdoors in. 2. Sicilian Butcher (13 min. from the TPC)

Another place with a (smaller) patio is the Sicilian Butcher at 15530 N Tatum Blvd. (Tatum and Greenway.) With casual dine-in and to-go services, The Sicilian Butcher is centered upon a build-your-own meal experience with gourmet meatballs and Italian-cured meats for charcuterie boards. And for dessert? 3. AZ/88 (26 min. from the TPC)

A bit off the beaten path and a moderate drive from the TPC, AZ/88 near Old Town Scottsdale describes itself as a modern saloon with award-winning cocktails and consistent cuisine with an ambiance that is often as artistic as neighboring museum SMOCA (Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.) It's a great spot for late-night dining, since the full menu is served until 12:30 a.m. Patio dining is a must on our mild Arizona evenings. AZ/88 offers an extensive spirits menu. 4. The Mission Kierland (8 min. from the TPC)

Chef Matt Carter of renowned Zinc Bistro has brought his modern Latin cuisine to the Mission Kierland. Tortillas, sauces, and salsas are made fresh daily and all meats are prepared on a Plancha, or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood. The atmosphere is hip yet intimate. 5. Tomaso’s Italian Kitchen (12 min. from the TPC)

Tomaso’s Italian Kitchen in North Scottsdale is a modern-casual take on the celebrated Tomaso’s restaurant, curating the best of the restaurant’s 40-year history and incorporating fresh, approachable new favorites with a focus on made-from-scratch pasta and a vibrant atmosphere. 6. Lou Malnati's Pizzeria (6 min. from the TPC)

Chicago-favorite deep-dish pizza fave Lou Malnati's Pizzeria has a new location in Scottsdale, just in time for the Waste Management Phoenix Open crowds. The spot at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Chauncey Lane (south of Mayo) is the chain's largest AZ location.The Malnati's signature deep-dish pizza is made from a recipe that's been handed down through four generations. The dough is made from scratch, and the fresh mozzarella cheese is delivered from the same small Wisconsin dairy farm that has supplied Lou Malnati’s for more than 40 years.
