(Meredith) -- This Thanksgiving, you will be able to use Zoom to virtually see your family with no time limit.
Zoom, the video conferencing service that has become a staple in 2020, typically offers free video chats for up to 40 minutes. If you want to hold meetings and calls longer than 40 minutes, users must pay a minimum fee of $15 per month.
But that won't be the case this Thanksgiving. Zoom announced that the service is lifting its 40-minute limit for all meetings globally, so you can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with your family without having to worry about paying for Zoom time.
The 40-minute limit will be lifted from midnight ET on Nov. 26 through 6 a.m. ET on Nov. 27.
