FAIRWAY, Kan. (KCTV/Meredith) – A Kansas City Chiefs player is celebrating his Super Bowl win by helping shelter dogs in his community find their fur-ever homes.

Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi decided to pay the adoption fees for every dog currently at the KC Pet Project. All dogs that became available on or before Feb. 2 can go home with families for free.

"We’re so honored to partner with @DerrickNnadi who is sponsoring the adoption fees of all of our adoptables dogs at our locations! What an incredibly generous gesture and we want to thank Derrick for his support all season long," the shelter tweeted  Monday morning.

The KC Pet Project has multiple locations where dogs can be adopted. The shelter’s list of adoptable dogs can be found here.
