Purina cat food

(Meredith) -- Some Purina cat food products may be contaminated with small pieces of rubber that could present a choking hazard for your pet.

Nestlé Purina PetCare Company issued a voluntary recall Friday for a limited amount of Muse wet cat food (Natural Chicken Recipe in Gravy) after consumers reported finding small pieces of rubber mixed in with the food.

Now, the company is asking consumers to throw away any remaining cans of cat food. A replacement will be provided.

You can identify the affected products by the UPC codes and the "Best By" date printed on the bottom of the can. The UPC code will read "38100 17199 (single three-ounce can)" and the "Best By" date will match "APR2020."
