Generic Crash

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5)-- Two elderly people were transported to the hospital following a multiple-vehicle crash near North Mountain in Phoenix Saturday. 

The crash involving four vehicles occurred near the area of 7th Street and Thunderbird Road.

According to Phoenix police, Firefighters took two elderly patients from this accident. A 69-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 71-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

At this time, traffic is restricted at the North Mountain Visitors Center is closed, which means the park will be closed for several hours, until the scene is cleared up.
