Tucson Border Patrol agent killed in the line of duty

TUCSON, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- The Tucson sector of U.S. Customs and Border Protection lost an agent in a line-of-duty death earlier this week.

U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz announced on Twitter on Friday that Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Martin Barrios died on Monday, Nov. 29.

Details surrounding Barrios' death have not been released.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. We will always remember his service," Tucson Sector Chief John R. Modlin tweeted early Friday.
