PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) − Police say a man shot and killed his wife before killing himself Sunday night in Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a home near Seventh Avenue and Bell Road to check on Jocelyn Casdorph, 36, and Victor Issa, 47.

Police say they are husband and wife.

When officers arrived, they did not receive an answer at the door and they forced their way in.

After entering the home, police say they found both individuals dead.

They say investigators believe Issa shot Casdorph and then turned the gun on himself.

Neighbors of the couple said they rented this house for about two years, but that they kept themselves and never caused problems.

"I'm just shocked about the whole thing I just can't even believe it," said Lisa Clarke, who lives two doors down. We didn't hear anything, my son came home shortly after the police found out because there were six to eight cars on the block."

The shooting remains under investigation.

No further details were released.
