PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- We're getting our first look at some of the animals seized from a Phoenix dog rescue and shelter Wednesday.

Phoenix police officers and the Arizona Humane Society responded to AZ Dog Adoptions, located near 19th Avenue just south of Interstate 17, to check out the health of the animals.

They seized 45 animals, 23 dogs and 22 cats, which are now in the care of AHS. The shelter sent Arizona's Family pictures of some of them Thursday morning.
