PHOENIX (3TV/CBS5) -- The Phoenix Zoo is welcoming a 4-year-old female Sumatran tiger named Dari.

Dari came from the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington.

She is part of a breeding recommendation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Sumatran Tiger Species Survival Plan.

According to the zoo staff, Dari has a sweet demeanor and has settled in well to her new habitat.

The zoo will officially debut the new tiger Friday morning.

Dari will most likely be outside from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., according to staff.
