MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport just keeps growing as Sun Country Airlines announced new service on Tuesday morning.
The flight from Minneapolis to Mesa will begin on Nov. 24 with fares starting as low as $79. The service will be offered on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. More information on the introductory fare can found here.
“With more and more people excited to resume traveling, we’re excited to be able to offer them another option to get away this winter to enjoy the Valley of the Sun,” said Sun Country Airlines Chief Revenue Officer Grant Whitney. “We’re know there is pent-up demand for convenient, affordable travel, and we’re here to help folks enjoy the vacations they’ve been dreaming about.”
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport has seen tremendous growth recently with the announcement of Avelo starting service to Burbank, Calif. and Allegiant adding flights to San Diego.

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is located near the Loop 202 and Power Road in Mesa, 30 minutes southeast of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
