Pet of the week: Odin

It makes perfect sense why this adorable 1-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier would be named after a god of wisdom. Simply put, this cuddly canine is one smart cookie.

But in addition to the enjoyment he gets from showing off all the tricks he knows, including rolling over, Odin is also a tremendous fan of giving people lots of love and kisses. A perfect example of his loving attitude comes in the fact that despite his 51-pound frame, Odin fancies himself as a bit of a lapdog.

Odin came into our care as a stray needing medical attention for an ear infection so not much is really known about his past. The more staff and volunteers have gotten to know him since his recovery in our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™, the easier it has become to be hopeful for a bright future.

Come in and meet Odin for yourself today at the Arizona Humane Society’s Campus for Compassion and you’ll see for yourself why he deserves the Norse kingdom he’s been looking for.
