GLENDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - Police are looking for the driver who hit a man who was in a crosswalk in Glendale on Monday night.

The crash happened at 60th and Glendale avenues around 7 p.m.

The victim was been identified as 67-year-old Kenneth Cahill.

Police say Cahill was crossing Glendale Avenue within a marked crosswalk at 59th Drive when he was struck by a car traveling on Glendale Avenue.

Once striking Kenneth, the driver of the car failed to stop and took off westbound on Glendale Avenue.

Cahill was rushed to the hospital with "multiple life-threatening injuries." On Tuesday afternoon, police say he was still receiving emergency treatment.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan. The car should have damage to the front of the vehicle and possibly the windshield from the impact.

There are no details about the driver's description at this time.
