GLENDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5)-- A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital after he collided with another driver in Glendale Sunday morning.

The incident occurred just before 9 a.m. in the area of 59th Avenue and Utopia Road.

Witnesses told Glendale police that the motorcyclist was traveling southbound through the intersection when he collided with a vehicle making a left turn.

Police say the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to Glendale police, two people were in the other vehicle at the time of the crash and they were not injured.

Police do not believe impairment was a factor of the collision but they are investigating to see if speed was a factor.
