GLENDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - A mother could barely hold back the tears when talking about her daughter, 40-year-old Heather Marie Williams.
"It was like a bad dream because she was my baby. She was my oldest girl," said Dawna Wisdom.
It was on Monday when a police officer told Wisdom that her daughter was killed in an apartment fire near 51st and Northern avenues. The fire had started on the first-floor apartment and then moved into the second story apartment where Williams and her boyfriend, Timmy, were. Williams didn't make it out alive while Timmy suffered burns on 50 to 60% of his body. He's in a medically induced coma. Wisdom has a theory as to why Williams didn't leave the apartment.

"She was trying to save her dog Bear," said Wisdom. "He (Timmy) left and thought she was right behind him."
Wisdom said she last talked to her daughter on Sunday about yellow cake.
"I can't even imagine my life without her," said Wisdom.
She said Williams was high-functioning with special needs who was a caregiver for special needs adults.
"All she ever wanted to do, and all she ever did was help them to become more independent," said Wisdom. "And she loved children."
Williams had been dating Timmy for about two years. The two worked at the same place and met there.
"He's a big teddy bear. He's going to pull through," said Connie Lopez, Timmy's aunt.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with medical bills for Timmy.
A separate GoFundMe page has also been set up for Heather's family to cover funeral expenses.
