PEORIA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- Officials are investigating after a man and a woman showed up to an Honor Health facility in Peoria with what was originally reported as gunshot wounds.

Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez with Maricopa County Sheriff's office said upon further investigation, it was found that the two only suffered superficial wounds from glass after their windshield was shot.
Enriquez said the two had been shot at in their vehicle during an alleged drug deal. Deputies were able to find the original crime scene where the shooting took place at 203rd Avenue and Bradley Road in Wittmann.
It is not clear whether any suspects have been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
