CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- A man has been arrested after leading deputies on a chase near Chandler with three undocumented migrants in the vehicle Monday night, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Around 9:30 p.m., a deputy spotted a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Phoenix. The deputy tried to pull over the vehicle, but the driver, 21-year-old Carlos Valenzuela, took off and continued driving. Deputies spiked the tires of the vehicle twice, but Valenzuela continued driving. DPS was able to use a grappler to stop Valenzuela's vehicle near I-10 and Riggs Road.
Deputies arrested Valenzuela and found three undocumented migrants in the car with him, who were then turned over to Border Patrol. Valenzuela faces recommended charges, including reckless driving, unlawful means of transportation, and unlawful flight from law enforcement.
