PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5)-- Looking for a reliable transportation this Election Day? Uber and Lyft have got you covered!
The popular ride-sharing apps will be offering discounted rides to polling places this Tuesday.
According to Lyft, about 15 million people were registered but didn’t vote in the 2016 elections because of transportation issues.
Both companies have released the following information on what they will be doing on Tuesday:
Lyft is teaming up with several voting organizations including Voto Latino, League of Women Voters and the Student Vets of America to provide "free rides to underserved communities that face significant obstacles to transportation."
Lyft is also teaming up with Vote.org and TurboVote to distribute promo codes that are 50 percent off of any ride to a polling location on Election Day.

Lyft is also planning to provide more information to voters by giving drivers voter registration handouts at their local hub locations and sending registration reminders through their push alerts.
Uber is offering $10 off of one ride to a polling location with some help from their partners #VoteTogether and Democracy Works.
For voters who want to get access of the discounted code, Uber said they will need to enter the promo code "VOTE2018" on their mobile app.
